Journey concert was the best ever, and still counting!!
The drive was 3 hours long but it was worth every penny!!
The setlist was amazing. Watching them perform was like a breather!
Their new vocalist (he's got some incredible pipes) added a newer and fresher mix with the band. His "Faithfully" rendition was beyond words!
Gosh, they all look younger, more solid and stronger as ever!!
Can't wait for their NJ gig comes September-we're right behind you, guys.....again!!
You're rockin' high!
JOURNEY rules!!

Here is the e-mail from their editor in chief:

I want to apologize for the mistake of Elise not producing the correct lead singer's name. The name will be corrected asap, thank you for informing us of that.

Thanks JRNYLIFE. I just want to hear from somebody else who gone 2 see the concert. Maybe the J-BOYS are a little off their game after being off for a week. I don't mind reading not-so-good reviews based on personal experience, but at least get their references right like names and comparing past concerts to current concerts.
Thanks Again.

More than previous shows I've seen, the band flat out rocked tonight. They slowed it down a few times for "Lights," "Open Arms," and "Faithfully." Other than that, the band was so incredibly full of energy, and chose a set list full of extended versions of driving songs, that the crowd was literally blown away. I was tired from cheering!

Myself, along with many of the other multi-decade Journey fans in the crowd, revelled in hearing "Dead or Alive" and "Escape" back to back. These are the surprises that make a Journey concert something always fresh, always fun, and always a celebration of music and life.

Arnel nailed "Faithfully" -- a truly emotion-filled moment that will be remembered.

And the crowd sang every word of "Don't Stop Believin"

But for me, the highlight of the night was the rock meets jazz extended encore of "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'." Ross, Deen, Neal and Jonathan shed any remaining inhibitions and showed off their raw musical talent for a segment of musical euphoria rarely heard at rock concerts these days.

More than any show I can remember, the band left me wanting more. And that is the sure sign of a great show.

LOL! Wow...the funniest thing about the review you mentioned (raymonte62)is that she calls Arnel, Steve Augeri! LOL! Good gravy!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think she was fair on some of it.

I've seen Journey MANY times...most recent, last year in Indy, and I have to be honest...this was my least favorite show that I've ever seen!

Throwing all the "unfamiliar" songs together at one time was like letting the air out of the balloon for sure...people started leaving around us, and I mean a lot of them.

Now, mind you, I LOVE all their music, know every word to every song, so I actually enjoyed it, but for my wife and others who are trying Journey for the first time or the first time in a while, I think it's a very bad move to throw that many unfamiliar songs together like that. And what's up with "Dead or Alive"? Seriously? And the Hee Haw segment on the harmonica and mini-guitar? Looked like a skit from Saturday Night Live!

And, what is up with NEVER showing Deen on the drums? That guy in insane! He never did a solo, and was never acknowledged. What's up with that...he's amazing.

Instead, we kept seeing video clips of Jon in the dark playing his keys... couldn't even tell what was up there.

Heart SOUNDED (Meaning..the VOLUME of the sound and clarity) FANTASTIC! Then, (just like last year at Verison Wireless) When Journey began, it was like someone turned down the volume nob! I could hardly hear the drums...and his set was unbelievable....but the sad thing was the little 5 piece set Heart had sounded better. Just little stuff like that I think could have made a HUGE difference.

Don't take me wrong... I believe Journey has a talent second to none! I've met them, been to dozens of shows, and I'm just not sure where they were going with this one...I just hope people come back...because it was nearly full, and a huge opportunity for the band.

I'm all for new songs, just spread them out a bit.. maintain momentum. IMO. Overall.. 4 Stars!!! Because you just can't beat the skill of each person. Good job guys...not great...but good job.

Kindly reply to "Elise," who made a review for this concert.
I don't agree with her and I would let the Great Fans of Journey to reply to her.
