Not much to add after the other four posts, but just wanted to say that this was somewhere around the 25th time I've seen Journey, and they continue to put on a phenomenal show. I almost didn't make the show as my sister was involved in a serious car accident that claimed the life of her fiance on July 18th. She is still in the hospital recovering from injuries. They were both Journey fans, in fact, Faithfully was played at his memorial service on the 26th. I didn't know if I'd be able to make the concert, but something inside told me to go. I'm so glad I did. It's interesting how Journey's music plays an important role in our lives, both in good and sad times. This concert was therapy for me, and Journey was amazing....especially Arnel and Deen. Both have incredible voices. I did buy my sis a Journey shirt after the show, and I'm sure she will like it. Sure hope Journey comes back again!
Oh....Heart was also fantastic!

What a rockin' power house evening with the HGirls and our JBoys! Great to see them team up again and bring an arena of fans from Idaho, and abroad into a frenzy.

Heart was awesome and the set list packed with their very best from the 70's and 80's. From the get go with Ann's intro to Barracuda, Nancy's amazing vocals throughout and the rest of the band playing tight, they truly fired up the crowd for Journey. HGirls @ Edgefield on 9/25!

Our JBoys just keep bringin' it and the shows just get more memorable. Really, really like the new stage set design with floor graphic, textured backdrop and lighting as it adds so much to the shows experience.

Great set list (see IDAPWU Review)that allowed all the JBoys to demonstrate the talent they share with us.

Neal, simply amazing to watch you do your thing! You always deliver and turn the crowd wild. Loved the freshness you added to several of the songs and in particular WITS!

Deen, what a monster drummer and so fun to watch you toss those "we're having fun now" looks at Neal. Also nice to see you take the spotlight with Keep on Runnin' & Mother - Father. Someday, would love to hear you sing "Better Life".

Ross, always calm, always cool strumming it out and those faces.. great job on trying to keep somebody awake in the front row.

Jonathan, amazing keys and very cool to see you get out from the piano and whale on the guitar and harmonica. NICE!

Arnel, WOW! You are the vocals of Journey! Such energy and stage presence throughout the entire night. You worked the entire stage, engaging the crowd on the floor, on the sides and all the way to the third deck. I'm sure the teenage girls behind us in row 12 will never forget when you made eye contact and gave them that BIG grin for their enthusiastic jumping up and down.

Thanks for a memorable nite, have a safe and great tour!

This was my second live concert ever. It was truly amazing! I can't believe I got to go. They are my favorite band, and I was so blessed to even meet the band after the performance. Heart did a great job starting off, even though I missed part of the performance waiting in line for a journey shirt. During the concert, Arnel had so much energy, he was so entertaining to watch. Plus he has an amazing voice. Neal is my favorite, he has so much skill, it is unbelievable. Deen is amazing on the drums, plus a killer voice. All of them did amazing. They were also very nice to come and greet fans and sign autographs after the show. What a spectacular performance and I can't wait for the next one!

WOW! What an incredible show in Boise last night! Heart & Journey both were absolutely fantastic. That was only my second time to see Heart as I saw them last year in Seattle with Cheap Trick & Journey. Now on what is turning out to be the hottest day of the year here in the Northwest we begin the 550 mile drive back home to Seattle! Totally worth every mile. This was my second show to see Arnel and I must say that his energy on stage brings back memories of Journey concerts gone by with Steve Perry. He is a very animated individual! Deen, you must have read the message on your blog from me. Thanks for your contribution on the vocals. You're amazing! Ross was in traditional form and provided the thunder that makes things happen. Neal provideds the lightning with every lick he plays. And Jon is just the greatest all around musician on keys and guitar. The set list was very similar to the show in Seattle last fall. This makes over twenty Journey concerts I have been to since my first one in 1979 and I must say that some things definately improve with age. This band is one of the best live bands ever here on planet earth. If you have never been to a Journey show I would highly suggest that you do. Worth every penny! What an amazing venue the Taco Bell Arena is. This was my first time there. Here's wishing the band a safe ride for the rest of the tour! I'm looking forward to the next album and tour all ready. We're just finishing up with lunch and now begins the incredible journey back home. Thanks guys for still hanging out with your fans after all these years!!!

I would first like to thank JOURNEY for coming to Idaho. It has been a long time since we have had a great rock and roll show!! The Taco Bell arena can hold about 12,000 fans. They had the back side of the stage and part of the sides of the stage not available for seating. I think they could have filled the seats!!

The set list was:

Separate Way
Never Walk Away
Stone in Love
Ask the Lonely
Change for the Better
Keep on running
Wildest Dreams
Lights
Open Arms
Mother Father
Be Good to Yourself
Wheel in the Sky
Faithfully
Don’t Stop Believin’
Any Way You Want it
Lovin Touchin Squeezin

The Wilson sister’s performance was outstanding. Ann Wilson still have her great pipes.

Now for JOURNEY. What a pleasant surprise!! Arniel Pineda came out and performed liked he had been on stage with Journey for years. What a range he has with his voice!! He move around the stage like he was in his back yard playing with his son.

Dean singing was very good. I watched him over the years with Bad English and then Journey. What a good addition in the vocal area for Journey and his drums playing cannot be touched. Jonathan keyboard playing has improved with each year. Ross, what can I say. I just loved your facial expression that you have. Last but not least, Neil. What a guitar player!! Your ability to make your guitar sing is unbelievable.

I just hope that Journey will come back to Boise again.
