"Open Arms" meaning

i can relate to this song on a different level. yes it has to do with love, but i see it as a father daughter love. me and my dad have been thru alot in the past 5 years, and i told him that i have come to him with open arms. which means im giving up my past and moving on. without his love and trust i dont think i could have changed my ways. some of the last verses talk about how the person who was lost has come back and how they are wanted to stay. i see that with my dad as well because he left me in the dark when i started acting up. but now hes realizing that i need him. he came back and now me and him are getting along. finally. so there is my interpretation of "Open Arms"

The perfect follow-up to your interpretation would have to be "After All These Years" (from the "Revelation" album). Try to listen to it, and I think you'll agree.

I suggest you buy "Revelation" and MOA Dvd you will love it. You'll able to watch one of their best Concerts "Mall of Asia" and get to see how good they performed. Neal Schon's instrumental is so awesome too. Go get one and you won't regret it. God Bless, Bev
